As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing first-class legal support to our business around the world. The role will be responsible for managing all aspects of legal risk, identifying and solving strategic and operational legal issues and providing understandable, accurate and timely advice to the business on a wide-ranging and changing set of complex issues, many of which are novel. The legal team you’ll join currently consists of four full-time and three part-time legal professionals who support the global organisation on a broad range of legal matters. 

Pending your experience and wishes, your tasks may include:

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of international commercial agreements, and providing practical, business-focused advice throughout the contract lifecycle
• Supporting strategic and operational projects with timely legal risk assessments, pragmatic solutions and clear guidance to relevant stakeholders
• Managing disputes, insurance claims and other contentious matters, including coordinating with insurers and external legal counsel
• Supporting mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and post-acquisition integration, including due diligence, transaction documentation and implementation activities
• Supporting the Global General Counsel and other functions on legal, compliance and governance matters, including developing policies and templates, delivering training, monitoring legal developments and helping improve legal processes and knowledge sharing across the global organisation.

You will report to the Global General Counsel, and you will be based in either Viby J, Aarhus or Hvidovre.

What we expect you to bring:
For this opportunity, we’re looking for the right person to join us. You aren’t perfect, and neither are we. But to guide you on whether you will thrive with us, here are some specific requirements we are looking for:

• Two to six years of experience from a law firm and/or an in-house legal role, with strong legal expertise, sound commercial judgement and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
• Fluency in spoken and written Danish and English, with the ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly to stakeholders at all levels
• A genuine desire to work internationally and across cultures, building trusted relationships with colleagues and business partners around the world; previous experience in an international company is an advantage but not a requirement
• A strong sense of professional pride and a commitment to continuously improving the quality, efficiency and business value of legal services
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with the confidence to take ownership, collaborate across functions and provide timely, practical advice in a fast-paced environment
